Shu-Te University's Office of Research and Development promotes growth of the national economy by coordinating with local industry and foreign institutions. This department is chiefly aimed at combining theory with practice in integrating technical education with industrial techniques.

The research environment of the university provides excellent opportunities for cooperation between industry and academic faculty at Shu-Te University, allowing the elevation of research and development standards.?Additionally, the Office of Research and Development is charged with creating cooperative agreements with prominent foreign institutions of higher education in order to promote the internationalization of Shu-Te University faculty and students.

Aims of the Office

Coordinate the research development of the university, promote the atmosphere of research, and promote technical exchanges between industry and academic institutions to further enhance the academic standards and student quality of Shu-Te.
Integrate all equipment related to practical work, fully utilizing resources inside and outside the university; publicizing achievements in practical work and teaching.
Help students to explore and develop their potential, and providing individual counseling services regarding their careers plans.
